The Times: How we improved our relationship between data and design to increase conversions
In this talk Claire will explore how The Times developed a propensity model to better predict who their customers were and what their next best action was. Claire will share how their cross-functional team works together to rapidly experiment, test and learn with an overall team goal of reaching 1 million subscribers by 2020.
About Claire Dracott
Claire is Deputy Head of UX for News UK working on some of the countries largest media publications; The Sun, The Times and The Sunday Times. She manages a large team of UX designers who focus on optimising the news reading experience, keeping on top of reading behaviours and focuses on acquisition to gain more subscribers.
Claire has been working in UX for seven years and has experience in how best set up a team from scratch and finding a voice in a large corporate organisation. Claire has lead the re-design of multiple new products which include The Sun’s new smartphone app, The Times and The Sunday Times smartphone app and responsive website which have all seen great successes.
Claire spent 8 years of her life dedicated to swimming and although doesn’t train competitively now she can often be found doing endless lengths in the pool.
